The C-Series Actuator is the backbone of the Firgelli lineup, engineered to be the most versatile and reliable solution for general-purpose automation. Building upon years of field testing, this series features a robust Aluminum Alloy Casing and heavy-duty rods designed to withstand harsh industrial environments while delivering smooth, quiet operation.
With a vast range of stroke lengths from 1 inch to 30 inches and three distinct force/speed profiles (45 lbs, 135 lbs, and 225 lbs), the C-Series allows engineers to standardize on a single form factor for multiple applications. Every unit includes built-in Limit Switches to automatically halt the motor at full extension and retraction, ensuring safety and preventing over-travel damage.
System Design & Control
Versatile Control: The C-Series utilizes a standard 2-wire DC interface, making it compatible with everything from simple Rocker Switches to complex PLC systems. For precise speed regulation, pair it with the FA-SC2 Speed Controller.
Back-Drive Note: Due to the efficient lead screw pitch, this actuator may back-drive under heavy static loads when power is cut. For vertical applications holding weight, we recommend using an SPDT relay as a Back-EMF brake. See our Back-Drive Tutorial for wiring details.
