The Deluxe Series High-Speed Rod Actuator is engineered for applications requiring a superior balance of velocity and force. Driven by a precision Worm Gear Mechanism, this actuator delivers a smooth, quiet operation significantly quieter than spur-gear alternatives, making it the preferred choice for medical environments and laboratory automation.
Capable of speeds up to 3 inches per second while maintaining 100 lbs of force, the Deluxe Series is designed for rapid-response applications. Its rugged casing offers an IP66 rating, ensuring reliable performance even in wash-down environments or outdoor enclosures.
System Design Notes
Back-Drive & Braking: Due to the high-efficiency gearing required to achieve 3"/sec speeds, this actuator typically requires dynamic braking to hold position under max load when power is cut. For vertical applications, we recommend integrating a SPDT Relay Back-EMF Brake or utilizing a gas spring assist to neutralize the static load.
