Description

Series Classification: FA-PO Series (Potentiometer Feedback) | Application: Closed-Loop Control, Robotics, & Synchronized Systems

The FA-PO Series Precision Feedback Actuator is designed for engineering applications where exact positional data is critical. Unlike standard actuators that simply move extend or retract, the FA-PO Series integrates a high-quality Bourns 10-Turn Potentiometer (10k Ohm). This provides accurate, absolute analog voltage feedback directly correlated to the actuator's stroke position, unaffected by power loss.

This "Absolute Position" capability makes the FA-PO Series the standard choice for Closed-Loop Control Systems. When paired with a micro-controller like an Arduino or PLC, engineers can program precise stop points, custom stroke limits, and complex motion profiles.

System Integration

The feedback system utilizes a 3-wire interface (Reference Voltage, Ground, and Wiper/Signal), separate from the 2-wire motor power. This allows for seamless integration with:

  • Micro-Controllers: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and PLC systems.
  • Synchronized Motion: Ensuring multiple actuators move in perfect unison by comparing feedback signals.
  • Positional Memory: Returning to specific pre-set positions upon command.
