Series Classification: Optical Series (Legacy Feedback) | Application: Synchronized Lifting, Memory Positioning, & Robotics

The Optical Series Feedback Actuator was designed for applications demanding precise positional tracking. Unlike standard actuators, this unit integrates a built-in Optical Sensor that generates single-phase pulses as the shaft moves. This digital feedback signal allows external controllers (like Arduino or PLC) to count pulses and determine the exact position of the actuator stroke.

Equipped with either a 4-slot (35lb model) or 10-hole (200lb/400lb models) encoder disk, this series provides high-resolution feedback. When paired with a control board like the FA-SYNC-X, it enables synchronized movement of 2 to 4 actuators, ensuring they travel at the exact same speed regardless of uneven load distribution.

System Design & Control

Feedback Logic: The optical sensor requires a 5V input and outputs a digital pulse train.

  • 200lb/400lb Models: ~100 pulses/inch
